  • Account Information: Email address, username, and profile details you provide when creating an account (including through Google or Discord sign-in).
  • Profile Data: Artist name, bio, profile picture, banner image, social media links, and other information you add to your creator profile.
  • Content: Songs, audio files, event details, and other media you upload to the platform.
  • Payment Information: Payment details are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns to help improve our service.
  • Payout Information: If you are a host, the payout method and handle you provide (e.g., PayPal email, Cash App tag) for receiving earnings.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and artist profile.
  • To process payments for subscriptions (Premium, Label) and skip passes.
  • To display your public artist profile to other users.
  • To facilitate music review submissions and queue management.
  • To track and process host earnings from skip purchases.
  • To send important service-related communications.
  • To improve and maintain the platform.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Stripe: For secure payment processing.
  • Supabase: For data storage and authentication services.
  • Public Profile Visitors: Information you add to your public artist profile is visible to anyone with your profile link.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

SoundWeb uses cookies and browser local storage to:

  • Keep you signed in to your account.
  • Remember your preferences and settings.
  • Track your cookie consent choice.

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication through Supabase, and PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data through your account settings.
  • Update or correct your profile information at any time.
  • Delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

SoundWeb is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the platform. Continued use of SoundWeb after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
